Dr. Sarah Silverman, ND

As a Naturopathic Doctor, Dr. Sarah Silverman is passionate about sharing the benefits of healthy living and teaching patients how they can optimize their health on an individual level. She aspires to teach her patients how to enhance their wellness in all aspects of their lives.

After discovering naturopathic medicine on her own journey towards optimal health, Dr. Silverman quickly learned of the power that natural medicine can have in developing a healthy lifestyle. Her personal ongoing management of an autoimmune thyroid condition fuels her passion for treating autoimmune disease, and determining the right nutrition and supplements to encourage a healthy gut and immune system.

She obtained her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine from The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, and practiced briefly in Toronto, Canada before moving to Portland, Oregon. Dr.Silverman is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor in Ontario, Canada and Portland, Oregon. Prior to her medical studies, she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Windsor.

Having completed her residency through the Council on Naturopathic Medical Education, Dr. Silverman’s education and clinical training has equipped her with the tools to treat a wide variety of acute and chronic conditions, and has fostered her specialized interests in autoimmune disease, and gut health and gastrointestinal disorders. Using the knowledge gained during her naturopathic medical training and the clinical skills acquired from treating a wide variety of patients, she will work in partnership with you to achieve optimal health.

In her spare time Dr. Silverman enjoys hiking, cooking, practicing yoga, and spending time with her husband and her Chesapeake Bay retriever.
